The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) released this Wednesday (08/12) the list of agricultural products that will have discount bonuses, in December, within the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf).

The list of products and states covered is valid from December 10th to January 9th of the next year, according to the Ordinance No. 39, from the Mapa Agricultural Policy Secretariat.

Products with discount bonuses are açaí (fruit grown in Acre), banana (Roraima, Alagoas, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Espírito Santo), cultivated natural rubber (Maranhão), yams (Amazonas and Espírito Santo), cashew nuts (Bahia), cowpea (Tocantins, Maranhão and Mato Grosso), orange (Pará), mango (Bahia and São Paulo) and passion fruit (Ceará and Sergipe).

The farmer receives the bonus when the value market share of some of the products it grows is below the price of reference. This way, he can use the value as a discount on the payment of installments or amortization of financing in Pronaf.

Discounts are calculated monthly by the National Supply Company (Conab) and published by the Mapa, which transfers resources to financial agents so that they grant discounts to producers on Pronaf financing in a automatically, without the need for a request.
