New technology in storage control gains prominence at Expointer

Brazilian rural producers have long faced a difficult equation to solve: profitability versus production costs. Added to this equation are productivity and quality problems, often due to the impossibility of investing in high-value, cutting-edge technologies, as well as the issue of logistics, which in Brazil significantly increases transportation costs. Another factor of concern is storage, a sector in which the country currently faces a large deficit. 

A new technology developed by a startup from Rio Grande do Sul can help with storage management, thus expanding actions to solve problems, increasing margin and profitability, optimizing expenses and improving product quality. Silo Verde, based in Tecnosinos, in São Leopoldo (RS), is putting SiloAssist on the market, a software that performs dynamic control of the entire storage operation. 

Silo Verde's marketing director, Mauricio Bruno, comments that the new solution can be used in different silo sizes and stands out for its technological innovation. He explains that SiloAssist makes it possible to know in real time, accessed from anywhere, the temperature, volume and humidity inside and outside the silo. “It is equipment that uses photocell chargers, which provides greater savings, without polluting the environment”, he observes.

SiloAssist will be the Startup's big news at the 41st Expointer, starting on August 25th, at the Silo Verde stand at the Pavilhão do Gado Leiteiro, at the Assis Brasil Exhibition Park, in Esteio (RS). Bruno highlights that this solution makes it possible to carry out complete management work in monitoring solids, including from other sectors of the economy. 

According to Startup's marketing director, today among the biggest problems in storage are waste and the high cost of marketing services. He emphasizes that with the system developed by Silo Verde, there is an optimization in transport logistics and input purchasing forecasts. “With SiloAssist we offer better performance in the quality of product management, for example, in relation to consumption parameters. These are factors that lead to real gains in the properties’ profit margin”, guarantees Bruno, emphasizing that the solution is already available and being used by the largest companies in the agricultural sector.
