A new species of mite was named in honor of the Faculty of Agronomy Eliseu Maciel (Faem) at UFPel. The disclosure was made in an article that deals with the first record in Brazil of the Linotetranidae family, as well as the description of a new species of mite, collected in a native field in the municipality of Aceguá, which received the name Linotetranus faemensis Tassi & Duarte, in honor of Faem, which turned 135 years old in 2018, when the acarine species, previously unknown to Science, was discovered.
