Basf presents portfolio of connected offers at Show Rural Coopavel
Company offers solutions in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture for efficient crop management
One of the most important moments in managing any crop is the spraying stage. However, in addition to avoiding and controlling threats from pests, diseases and weeds and carrying out foliar nutrition, a good sprayer also helps to ensure that these products are applied to the desired target evenly and in the correct quantity, generating input savings and greater productivity.
This is one of the differences of Overlander, launched by Incomagri Máquinas Agrícolas, from Itapira/SP, during the Rural Coopavel Show, in Cascavel, Paraná, today, March 7th to 11th. The brand's first self-propelled sprayer features advanced technology and a 4x4 hydrostatic transmission system, consisting of a set of wheel motors and reducers Heavy Duty which provide high torque. Mounted on a light and resistant structure, the launch has the perfect balance in the power x weight ratio, which guarantees the producer high performance and great fuel economy.
The moment is a milestone for the company that has been in the market for almost 40 years, which already operated with spraying, but did not have a self-propelled vehicle in its portfolio. “Producers are increasingly looking for machines that provide them with a good application, with greater autonomy, operational performance, comfort, reduce losses due to kneading and increase control over the activities carried out, therefore demand is growing and we see great opportunities in this market” , highlights the agronomist and commercial manager of Incomagri, Carlos Reinaldo Nogueira Filho.
The Overlander was developed to meet the needs of the most demanding farmers. According to the professional, it was designed with a focus on customers looking for equipment that is simple to operate, easy to maintain, but at the same time with high technology on board for safe and efficient applications. “This was the most challenging and complex project we have developed to date. It required extreme dedication from the entire team over the last few years,” he says.
The Overlander can be used in several annual crops such as soybeans, corn, beans, wheat, potatoes, sugar cane, among other cereals and non-tree crops. It is ideal for producers with areas over 250 hectares or service providers, preferably open areas of mechanized land that are flat or undulating.
The self-propelled vehicle has electronic traction control with an anti-spin system that prevents false spin on one or more wheels. Its chassis is made of U-beam structural steel and is entirely bolted, in addition to having a 4.5 HP Cummins QSB 130 electronic engine, turbocharged and interlocked.
The development of the equipment was designed with the operator's safety and comfort in mind. It is equipped with a pressurized cabin, activated carbon filtration system, is spacious and modern with excellent acoustic insulation and located frontally, providing excellent visibility. It has a free span of 1,55m allowing applications up to advanced stages of the main annual crops.
In addition to the well-being and comfort for the operator, the communication interface with the machine is very didactic and friendly. It is possible to monitor spraying functions via the GPS computer screen, as well as monitor and interact via a display touch screen. The Overlander is also equipped with a five-stage centrifugal pump with a flow rate of 560 liters/minute that works at 100% speed regardless of the variation in diesel engine speed.
The State of Paraná was not randomly chosen to host the launch. In addition to being one of the largest grain producers in Brazil and presenting high productivity rates, it has characteristics that fit with the customer profile that the company seeks for this project. “The average size of agricultural properties, some regions with areas with wavy terrain, in which our machine can demonstrate high performance, and mainly partner producers and resellers eager for news and technology, were attractive factors for choosing the event”, confesses Nogueira Filho.
Also according to the commercial manager, in addition to this major launch and the spraying line, producers and resellers will be able to access special conditions during the Coopavel Rural Show for the entire portfolio, single and double disc fertilizer and seed distributors, feed mixers, crushers corn, forage trailers, tank trailers and liquid manure distribution tanks. “We invite everyone to visit our stand and learn about our solutions”, he concludes.
