Study brings together information on the performance of cultivars in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in 2022/23
Cerradinho Bioenergia, a company in the sugar-energy sector that produces ethanol and its co-products from renewable raw materials, such as sugarcane and corn, is taking the last steps to start production at Neomille, its subsidiary in Maracaju, Mato Grosso do South. At the beginning of this month, it received the first shipment of corn, thus starting the storage process, aiming to start production at the plant.
The construction of the new factory is on schedule as planned and has already reached 80% progress. With the warehouse ready, the corn classification sector and tippers in operation, the process of receiving and storing the raw material has been operating since July 3rd. Ethanol and other co-products, such as DDG and oil, will be produced from the corn grains received.
According to the director of New Business and Strategic Planning at CerradinhoBio, Renato Pretti, the expectation is that the new factory will come into operation by the end of 2023. “The work is progressing well and we are within the expected schedule. We had the first receipt of corn and, thus, we began to build our stock. In the last quarter of this year, between November and December, we should start processing corn and, consequently, producing ethanol, DGG and oil”, predicts Pretti.
Neomille's total storage capacity in Maracaju is 290 thousand tons of corn. When fully operational, the plant will have the capacity to process 1700 tons of grain daily.
