Agroclima PRO, Climatempo's agrometeorology 4.0 service, presents new fundamental functionality for day-to-day farming. The spraying window comes to solve one of the main problems for agricultural producers, since the application of pesticides, through spraying, is influenced by several elements, such as temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and luminosity.
“Our algorithms cross-reference weather forecast information for the variables leaf wetness, air temperature, evapotranspiration and wind speed to identify whether future conditions will be suitable for assertive application, increasing efficiency and reducing costs", says João Castro, CEO of Agroclima PRO at Climatempo.
According to FAO data, relative consumption in the country was 4,31 kilos of pesticides per hectare cultivated in 2016. However, a large part of this value does not have an effective effect on plantations. “Due to weather conditions, these sprays are easily lost. It was this issue, an old demand from our partner producers, that motivated us to implement the new feature”, adds Castro.
The new Agroclima PRO functionality will be presented to the market during the Air Aviation Congress, which takes place between July 30th and August 01st, in Sertãozinho (SP). On the occasion, several experts in the segment will come together to discuss, among other topics, how to optimize aerial applications considering climate differences.
“Throughout the entire history of Agroclima PRO, we have listened to each producer to understand their needs. And the innovations we offer today meet exactly what he needs”, concludes Carlos Magno, president of the Climatempo Group.
