Cultivation in agricultural greenhouses is an increasingly common practice in Brazilian agriculture, especially when we talk about vegetables, fruits, legumes and ornamentals. Through the system, the producer can reduce many risks, as it is mainly safe against bad weather. This is because the structure is capable of creating a more protected environment for cultivation with humidity, temperature and sunlight, ideal for plant development and thus guaranteeing the farmer more profitability with out-of-season plantings and harvests.
According to Diego Schmidt, agronomist and market intelligence engineer at Grupo Nortène, one of the great advantages of protected cultivation is the possibility of producing throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions. “Studies show that growing in greenhouses, a controlled environment, yields up to 50% higher than production in the open field. And that’s not all, the products have better quality and longer shelf life,” he says.
To make this cultivation system even more efficient, Grupo Nortènte is launching its new line of agricultural films onto the market. The three new products in the Maxilux line (HALS DIF AE, HALS DIF AV UV and HALS DIF AV UV) are equipped with high diffusion and anti-static, which prevents the accumulation of dust on the surface of the stove. With specific antivirus additions, they all have high technology. “These are films that can be used in all types of cultivation, which bring a very high quality of light inside the greenhouse and this favors high crop productivity”, highlights Schmidt.
Among the differences of the new line, the highlight is the higher rate of photosynthesis, which guarantees better productivity and quality, as it reduces the plant cycle. Maxilux products also have UV blocking (ultraviolet radiation) developed to prevent crops from burning due to ultraviolet radiation.
All these benefits are only possible thanks to exclusive Israeli technology in the development of the films. “This innovation is linked to the quality of the plastic, and Israel is a pioneer in agricultural films in the world, we use this technology, not only for production, but also for raw materials, specific additives, plastic formulations, which allows the manufacture of plastic products. high performance”, highlights the agronomist.
To mark the arrival of the new line of greenhouse films on the market, the Nortène Group will hold a special launch live next Wednesday, the 19th, from 17:30 pm. One of the speakers will be agribusiness consultant Thiago Tadeu, who has extensive experience in the field, who will talk about: “The importance of choosing greenhouse film”.
There will also be a presentation by Guga Rios, commercial and marketing director of Tropical Estufas, a company from Bragança Paulista/SP, a specialist in designing, manufacturing and assembling agricultural greenhouses and their inputs. The company operates in activities related to protected cultivation, serving customers in Brazil and around the world. The professional will talk about “Profitability in protected cultivation”.
According to Schmidt, the launch will be focused on the benefits of the products. “We want to show that the producer can use high-tech plastic, we will also talk about the financial return that a greenhouse gives and finally, we will present and launch the new films. We invite all our customers, both from Brazil and Latin America, as well as other producers, to learn about our solutions”, concluded the professional.
