The new directors of the National Supply Company (Conab) take office this Thursday (4), in a ceremony held with employees at the unit's headquarters, in Brasília. José de Pádua Costa Fonseca will head the Operations and Supply Department and Waldenor Cezário Mariot will head the Administrative, Financial and Inspection Department.
Director José de Pádua is a civil engineer graduated from the Triângulo Mineiro School of Engineering, with strong experience in the logistics area. Among other positions, he served at the Ministry of Transport from 1991 to 2002 and also served on the Board of Directors of the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq).
Waldenor Cezário, financial director, spent his career at Banco do Brasil (BB). Administrator and lawyer, Mariot held, among other positions, the Bank's Agribusiness Directorate, in Brasília, and the State Superintendent of BB in the states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, Paraíba and Espírito Santo. He was also President of the Development Bank of the State of Espírito Santo (Bandes), in addition to being a member of collegiate and social bodies, such as the Food Security Council (Consea) and the Council to Combat Hunger and Poverty and for Life (Coep).
The appointment of the two new directors was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on September 27th.
