From February 09th, the process of migrating the National Rural Environmental Registry System (Sicar) from the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB) to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) will begin. The measure aims to transfer the system to a new management infrastructure, in accordance with Federal Law 14.600/2023. The expected completion date is February 29th.

During this period, it will not be possible to receive or integrate information regarding new registrations or rectifications, carry out analyses, make new registrations in the Owner/Owner Center, or any other action related to editing data in the system.

Consultations will continue to be available, including those carried out by financial institutions through the Rural Credit Operations System (Sicor) and the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program (Proagro). The measure is part of the improvement of Sicar, in compliance with the Forest Code (Law nº 12.651/2012) and other regulations, considering the distribution of powers between the Union and the federative entities.
