From September 30th, rural producers will be able to formalize the documentation of machinery and equipment in the National Registry of Tractors and Agricultural Machines (Renagro), regulated this year by Decree No. 11.014/2022 of the Federal Government.

Registration can be done through ID Agro Máquinas, a platform developed by the CNA Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa). Renagro’s regulations comply with Law No. 13.154/2015.

According to the standard, the mandatory registration of agricultural machines that travel on public roads from the Department of Traffic (Detran) passes to Mapa. Free registration and exemption from registration and annual licensing are also guaranteed.

“Law No. 13.154/2015 was a victory for the sector, which passed registration to Mapa and dispensed with licensing and registration. Now, with ID Agro Máquinas, the producer will finally be able to have the document for his machine, which will improve traceability, important to prevent the purchase and sale of stolen machines”, points out the administrative coordinator of the CNA Institute, Carlos Ribeiro.

Registration on the platform is only mandatory for machines that travel on public roads. However, ID Agro Máquinas will bring several advantages to rural producers, such as the official machine registration document, integration with police systems and guarantee of origin and origin of the equipment.

From September onwards, it will be possible to register tractors and harvesters, but there are plans for new machinery and implements such as sprayers, planters, brush cutters, harrows and others.

To register your agricultural machine, the producer needs to have the invoice or purchase and sale document registered with a notary. Registration is done directly at agricultural machinery dealers in a free and simplified manner.

“We know that most owners do not have this type of document. Therefore, other possibilities are already being discussed to make registration possible without these documents and soon we will have new features to serve all owners of older machines who want to register their machinery”, highlighted Ribeiro.
