The XXXIII National Corn and Sorghum Congress, scheduled for the period between October 05th and 09th this year in Palmas-TO, continues with its normal planning. The event is a promotion of the Brazilian Corn and Sorghum Association (ABMS), carrying out the Embrapa.
This Wednesday, April 1st, registration begins. The values are different, depending on the category of the participant (undergraduate student; postgraduate student; professional partner; and professional non-member) and the date of registration. The closer it is to the event, the more expensive the registration is. More information using this link.
It is the first time that the northern region of the country hosts the congress, which is quite traditional and a technical-scientific reference on the two agricultural crops. The theme of this edition is “Production systems in agricultural frontiers”. This choice is appropriate, as Matopiba (agricultural production area that brings together parts of four states: Maranhão; Tocantins; Piauí; and Bahia) is one of the main agricultural frontiers in Brazil today.
The congress program is being created and will feature round tables, mini symposiums, keynote lectures and poster sessions. The estimate for this edition of the event is that 1.000 people will participate and 450 works will be presented.
