MVC expands supply of components to Jacto

MVC will expand the supply of composite components to JACTO, one of the main manufacturers of agricultural machinery and implements in Brazil. The company supplies parts such as the engine hood, external fairings, front bumper, roof and interior finishes of the cabin for spraying machines to customer lines.

For Gilmar Lima, general director of MVC, the expansion of the business demonstrates the high quality standard and technological advancement of composite components produced in Brazil. “We will increase the supply of parts to meet JACTO’s production”, explains Lima.

“In a market as competitive and complex as agricultural machinery, manufacturers are constantly looking for differentiators to stand out from their competitors and offer gains in efficiency, performance and costs. Since 2012, MVC technologies have been helping JACTO achieve its goals”, reveals the executive.

The external fairings and engine hood developed for JACTO will be manufactured at the MVC unit in São José dos Pinhais, PR, using RTM Light technology, which guarantees a high standard of quality, finishing and performance, at a competitive cost compared to to components produced with conventional processes. RTM Light allows for faster design changes and gains in productivity, which makes the development of a new project much more agile. The front bumper, roof and interior finishes of the cabin are made from thermoplastics (ABS and PP).

With 68 years of history in Brazil, Máquinas Agrícolas Jacto was founded in the city of Pompéia, in the interior of São Paulo, by Japanese immigrant Shunji Nishimura. Currently, the company specializes in the manufacture of sprayers, from backpack to self-propelled, as well as fruit harvesters, self-propelled fertilizer machines and equipment aimed at precision agriculture. Today, the company's products are present in more than 100 countries.
