Morgan launches three new corn hybrids at Dinho Varaldo Field Day

Products suitable for high and medium investment crops will now be available this harvest for farmers in Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba

Morgan Sementes e Biotecnologia will launch three new corn hybrids during Dinho Varaldo Field Day, February 25th, in Nova Ponte (MG), for farmers in Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba. Areas of approximately one hectare were prepared for visitors for each of the brand's new materials: MG300, MG580 and MG600.

Aimed at high and medium investment crops, the hybrids were selected based on the rich germplasm bank available to Morgan and tested in several regions of Brazil before being made available on the market.

For the farmer looking for high production potential, Morgan presents the MG 580. The material is suitable for grain production in high-investment crops and also stands out for its precociousness, leaf health and productive stability.

If the situation requires more attention to the health of the material, the option may be MG600, a product suitable for high-investment crops that combines characteristics such as good leaf health, precocity and productivity. MG 600 is also recognized for its health and high physical resistance of the stalk, which facilitates harvest management.

For medium and high-investment crops, Morgan presents the super-early MG300, which allows for rapid marketing of the harvest and offers greater returns to the producer according to the level of investment. This new product also has an upright architecture that allows cultivation in reduced and more dense spacing.

Powercore™ - All materials will be presented in their versions with Powercore™ technology, which, through five staked genes, provides an increase in the productivity of corn crops according to the technological level of the crop and climatic conditions. With three distinct BT proteins inserted, it provides multiple modes of action that allow control of some of the main corn pests – such as the fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda), stem borer (Diatraea saccharalis), earworm (Helicoverpa zea), Elasmus caterpillar (Elasmopalpus lignosellus), Screw caterpillar (Agrotis ipsilon) and Pod caterpillar (Spodptera eridania). The technology also offers tolerance to glufosinate and glyphosate herbicides, which allows for flexible management, optimizing spraying machinery and labor.
