Monthly rice average records seventh consecutive increase in Brazil

October ended with a slight improvement in liquidity and rising prices. The average of ESALQ/SENAR-RS rice indicator, 58% whole grains, with cash payment, rose 0,95% compared to September, at R$ 105,38/bag of 50 kilos last month, the seventh followed by an increase.

At last week of October, buyers showed interest in acquisitions for replenish stocks, still paying attention to the possibility of importing at lower prices competitive, as sellers were also willing to negotiate, but the firm values.

In that scenario of improved liquidity, the Indicator recorded a slight drop of 0,7% between October 28th and November 4th, closing at R$ 104,39/50 kg bag in this Wednesday, November 4th – the real record of the Cepea series, of R$ 106,34/sc, was reached on October 13 this year.
