Logistics in the agribusiness sector faces some challenges in Brazil, such as the country's enormous territorial extension and dependence on road transport as one of the main logistical means. Agribusiness, more established in some regions, also suffers from some inefficiencies in receiving inputs, which are extremely important for the different stages of plantations.

It was with a view to making the lives of these farmers easier that Microquimica Tradecorp, a company that produces agricultural inputs and is headquartered in the interior of São Paulo, decided to structure a new logistics scheme to serve consumers in different regions of the country in a more optimized way.

"We increased the storage infrastructure to have more agility in our logistics processes throughout Brazil. We invested in a large and modern central warehouse, strategically located on the banks of the best highways in the state of SP and close to our factory and administrative office. In addition In addition, we are investing in four advanced logistics warehouses in Cuiabá (MT), Luiz Eduardo Magalhães (BA), Uberaba (MG) and Ibiporã (PR)", explains Rafael Leiria Nunes, Operations Director at Microquimica Tradecorp.

The logistics center is located in the city of Hortolândia, the same city where the company's new administrative office is located. The factory is in Monte Mor. Both municipalities are part of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, through which highways such as Bandeirantes, Anhanguera, Dom Pedro I and Santos Dumont pass.

The choice of logistical warehouses aims to distribute, in a more optimized way, Microquimica Tradecorp's agricultural inputs in regions that are important for the fluidity of the company's business. These locations will receive product transfers from the central warehouse and, being closer to large consumer centers, will be able to deliver products to customers more quickly.

For this optimized delivery, there are a series of changes in operational procedures, such as greater rigor in the separation, preparation and verification of products to be dispatched.

"It's work that involves the entire company. The commercial team, for example, will need to increase the level of communication with the logistics area, through forecasts and budget adjustments. The aim is to carry out better production planning and stock allocation between the central warehouse and distribution warehouses. We have also structured the use of intelligence tools that aim to allow monitoring of deliveries in real time", continues the Operations Director.

For the company spokesperson, all these changes are part of a sustainable growth strategy focused on the customer. "With this, the consumer will receive Microquimica Tradecorp products increasingly better packaged, in safe vehicles and suitable for the agility that we will provide to our processes. This logistical commitment will bring rural producers the best technological solutions in plant nutrition in an increasingly more agile and economical", he concludes.
