Amid the positive expectations for São Paulo's wheat in 2023 highlighted in the first meeting of 2023, the cereal production chain meets for the second time this year at the São Paulo Wheat Sector Chamber, which will be held on June 22, from from 9 am, at the Capão Bonito Agricultural Cooperative, in Capão Bonito (SP).

Among the topics that will be addressed at the meeting, the national and global wheat situation will be updated for the participants of this hybrid event, which will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the São Paulo Wheat Industry Union (Sindustrigo), providing a new overview of issues involving the cereal in Brazil and other players in the global market.

Furthermore, the total and state results of the Milling Survey developed by the Brazilian Wheat Industry Association (Abitrigo) will be presented and analyzed at the meeting. This survey is used as a reference by the milling sector to count the amount of wheat processed and converted into flour, also recording its destinations after milling.

The traditional report from cooperatives and cereal producers from São Paulo will also have space at the Sector Chamber meeting, pointing out the evolution and new expectations of production and productivity of the wheat harvest in São Paulo, as well as the total area in which it is being cultivated.

“Bringing together the São Paulo wheat production chain is always important so that we can understand the needs and work towards the constant development of the sector. Updating participants regarding the general cereal scenario and providing projections are fundamental points to help with decision-making at all levels”, explains the President of the São Paulo Wheat Sector Chamber, Ruy Zanardi.

With the presence of representatives from StoneX consultancy, Abitrigo, the milling industry and wheat producers, this meeting will also be an opportunity for networking between the different segments that make up the wheat production sector. “Having the participation of members from different segments of the chain is, without a doubt, a chance to promote contacts and reinforce the unity of the wheat sector as a whole”, concludes Zanardi.
