Meeting of technicians updates cotton production costs in Mato Grosso

This Thursday (17/06), technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab), assigned to the state-owned company's Production Costs Management in Brasília, and in Mato Grosso, meet to update the technical coefficients that form the technological packages of production costs of cotton grown in the Mato Grosso municipality of Sorriso. The meeting will be virtual and will include the participation of producers, cotton cooperatives, Instituto Mato Grossense de Algodão, as well as other important actors in the fiber production chain.

The update of production costs prepared by Conab is a control and management tool for productive activities used by the federal government as one of the main parameters in the preparation of minimum prices, in the calculation of guarantee prices applied in the Price Guarantee Program for Family Farming (PGPAF), and as a reference for calculations when obtaining credit through Financing for the Storage of Agricultural Products (FEE).
