Massey Ferguson tours the country and presents farmers' stories

In celebration of 60 years in Brazil in 2021, Massey Ferguson is carrying out the Heart on the Road expedition, which will travel through all regions of the country to show the true protagonists of the evolution of national agriculture: farmers. A story written by the hands of rural producers who are so dedicated to agriculture and who built Massey Ferguson's trajectory in the field.

Exclusive testimonials and insights from each family, from generation to generation, reveal the rural producer's fundamental contribution to making Brazil the breadbasket of the world, with Massey Ferguson at his side. From north to south, 60 farmers will tell their own stories, full of overcoming and success, with different cases that show family succession, reference farms in sustainability and technology adoption practices, among many others.

There will be 60 episodes, two per week, until December 2021, which can be seen on the Massey Ferguson YouTube channel www.youtube.com/MasseyFergusonBrasil and special hotsite www.masseyferguson60anos.com.br.

The expedition will last seven months and will pass through 19 states: Acre, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Tocantins, Ceará, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Bahia, Sergipe, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul.

The trip began in May, at the property of the Cintra family, from Buritizal (SP). Inspired by his father's work, corn producer Lisandro Alves Cintra invested in technology to increase production and expand his business. “We left the ox plow and reached autopilot. It was a great evolution”, he celebrates. Today, Lisandro prepares his son to continue the family legacy.

Leocarlos Mundim, a coffee grower in Monte Carmelo (MG), says that Massey Ferguson has been present since the beginning of agricultural activity on the family property. The first tractor was bought by his father in 1973, when he was still a child. “Since I was little, I’ve followed my father’s evolution. I learned to drive on an MF 55 tractor,” he says. “Today we can say that mechanization has made coffee production easy.”

For brothers Paulo Cesar and João Paulo Zafanelli Gonçalves, cattle ranchers and corn and soybean producers in Alto Paraíso (PR), purchasing machinery and investing in technology only adds value to the farm. The property began with cattle raising in the 1950s and in 2010 began implementing the Crop-Livestock Integration (ILP) system. “We had specific machinery for livestock farming and when we started integrating we saw the need to renew the machinery. Our objective is to maintain and even increase these investments in the coming years”, says João Paulo.
