Massey Ferguson presents news at Expodireto 2023

Massey Ferguson presents the expansion of the Momentum line portfolio at Expodireto Cotrijal 2023. The objective is to serve all farmers, small and large. The set presented consists of the Momentum planter and the MF 8S tractor, available in 245 hp and 265 hp, and presented in the video above by the product marketing coordinator Leonardo Plixo.

Furthermore, Massey Ferguson presents the new MF 500R series sprayers, which promise ease of operation, savings and sustainability. Available in the MF 530R and MF 535R models, the line features technologies that generate cost savings of more than R$50 at the end of the harvest, according to company information.

New version of the Momentum planter

The new version of the Momentum folding planter is offered with 18, 20, 22 and 24 rows for spacing of 45 and 50 centimeters. One of the new features of the planter is the weight distribution system across the chassis. With this technology, the producer can adjust and calibrate the machine from inside the cabin, so that the central load is distributed equally across the planter chassis to the side ends. The result is better performance in hilly areas, providing homogeneous seed deposition depth and improving planting quality. The technology is offered with customizable weight distribution levels, which can be defined depending on the area.

Another new feature is the fertilizer system, which now operates with vApply Granular, a Precision Planting fertilizer control technology that manages fertilizer in two sections, reducing fertilizer waste by up to 50%.

The new version maintains the already known transport versatility: the planter is 3,6 meters long, without the need to disassemble any component, and can pass through gates and bridges easily and safely. The opening and closing time is less than 1,5 minutes, providing agility in moving the machine or working in different areas of the property, resulting in increased planting time.

The Momentum Massey Ferguson is produced at the Ibirubá (RS) factory and has been an option for rural producers looking for an easy-to-transport, high-yield folding planter. With the new versions, the company hopes to meet even greater demand, offering more efficiency and technology for the field.

MF 500R sprayer

In turn, with the new AWD Smart Drive transmission, the MF 500R can operate on slopes of up to 36%, an important function for the South region. The transmission is more modern and electronic, which maintains constant speed control, resulting in fuel savings of more than 30%. Furthermore, the transmission allows for up to 25% earlier entry into the crop, which increases application efficiency and guarantees greater crop productivity.

Another highlight of Massey Ferguson is the exclusive LiquidLogic system, which recovers the product from the spray system into the tank after each application or product change. This provides savings and sustainability, as it is the first system on the market that brings all unused product from the sprayer piping back to the tank, minimizing waste and environmental impact.
