Next Thursday, February 13th, from 14pm to 18pm, the 30th Official Opening of the Rice Harvest opens space for the Marketing Forum. In the auditorium of Estação Terras Baixas, at Embrapa Clima Temperado in Capão do Leão (RS), four panels will address topics to inform and update producers on global market trends, policies, technology and management.
In the first panel, the professor of Innovation in Agribusiness at the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM) Antônio Filipe Muller opens the work with an overview of the paths for the rice chain through innovation and entrepreneurship. The debates continue with the topic of people management, with the participation of psychologist and specialist in organizational and work psychology from the Federal Council of Psychology Kátia Saraiva. Soon after, the president of John Deere Brazil, Paulo Renato Herrmann, brings the potential and challenges for Brazil in agriculture.
At 17pm, the panel “Brazil and the International Agribusiness Market” will take place, in which the federal deputy and president of the Parliamentary Front for Agriculture (FPA), Alceu Moreira, and the director of international relations of the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock will be present. of Brazil (CNA) and president of Farsul, Gedeão Pereira. The debate will be moderated by the president of the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz), Alexandre Velho.
According to Pereira, the panel will go beyond the rice chain, bringing to the agenda discussions about business prospects for other Brazilian crops, such as soybeans, corn and different varieties of meat. Recently in India, the executive is optimistic about the opening of new markets: “We need to take advantage of this entry of rice into Mexico and consolidate exports of the product to more countries. However, each location has its own needs and particularities, the same thing is not sold to everyone. We are working with both short-term demands and long-term perspectives, as in India”, he highlights. Pereira also reinforces that the current economy is based on market interdependence, and that China will continue to be a destination for exports. “The future is in the east”, he highlights.
The Official Harvest Opening will be held from February 12th to 14th with the theme “Intensification for Sustainability”. The event has Premium Sponsorship from Irga and the Ministry of Agriculture, co-hosted by Embrapa and held by Federarroz.
