In Hulha Negra, a municipality located in one of the regions most affected by drought in Rio Grande do Sul, the federal government announced emergency credit of R$ 430 million to help the population of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to measures to combat the drought that already have around 200 municipalities in a recognized emergency situation.
For the development of programs to be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), the interministerial delegation that visited the state this Thursday (23) included the executive secretary, Irajá Lacerda, and the director of Financing Policy for the Agricultural Sector, Wilson Vaz.
"The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock's mission is to bring programs and public policies to mitigate the impacts of drought in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Mapa is open to us seeking solutions together,” stated Lacerda.
The delegation was made up of the ministries of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA); Integration and Social Development (MIDS); of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Combating Hunger (MDASFCF) and Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic (SECOM-PR)
