Embrapa begins studies to identify anomaly that has been attacking papaya trees in Roraima
The anomaly, which still has an unknown cause, was observed in plants in the municipalities of Bonfim, Alto Alegre, Boa Vista and Rorainópolis
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) received this Friday (8/1) eight new information technology analysts who will help the ministry meet its goal of digitizing 100% of its document collection by December 2017. Professionals are career employees of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (MPOG), with decentralized practice and have just taken office in the public service.
The allocation of the eight new analysts was possible after Mapa negotiated a work plan with MPOG, which brings several strategic goals to the area of information technology. Among the objectives are the digitization of the entire documentary collection by December 2017, the registration of all services provided on the Federal Government Services Portal, the implementation of an Open Data Plan and the inclusion of georeferencing services in the system.
The work plan was signed this morning by executive secretary Maria Emilia Jaber during a ceremony at MPOG. Of the eight new analysts, seven will be allocated to Mapa and one to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). They will join the five Information Technology (IT) analysts who already work at Mapa to leverage the modernization and transparency measures that have been adopted under the current administration.
Main Targets
The digitization of all Mapa documents is one of the plan's boldest goals and is in line with MPOG's national electronic project, which aims to free up physical space in offices throughout the public service.
“We take care of the country’s agricultural defense and the health of the food consumed by society. Therefore, they are fundamental documents that need to be safe and accessible”, said Mila Jaber.
MPOG's Secretary of Logistics and Information Technology, Cristiano Rocha Heckert, highlighted that the allocation of analysts favors bodies that present results. “It is recognition for the work done by Mapa”, he said during a meeting with Maria Emilia Jaber, this Thursday (7).
“To increasingly improve service to the population, with less bureaucracy and more efficiency, we depend on technology. Therefore, we are very excited about the arrival of these new professionals”, added the executive secretary.
Results
Heckert explained that, initially, IT work in the public service was aimed at the internal public, but now it needs to focus on final activities. “The objective is for the goals to reflect the Mapa’s final priorities, how technology will leverage the results”, noted the secretary.
Mila Jaber emphasized that the measures adopted in 2015, such as contract reduction and new contract and agreement management tools, brought transparency and excellence to the services provided by Mapa. In 2012, the ministry was in 20th place in terms of the length of an agreement process in an accountability situation. In 2015, it jumped to 4th place, reducing the average term from 652 days to 197.
