Soy Empty ends on September 15th in São Paulo
Soybean planting in São Paulo runs from September 16, 2021 to February 3, 2022; registration of Production Units must be informed within 15 days after the end of sowing
UPL's new solution to help rural producers combat the complex of fungal diseases that affect soybeans has already had its first proven results. In the testing phase, which covered more than 60 selected areas, researchers verified that Evolution contributed to an increase in productivity.
"We were present throughout the product's testing phase, for three harvests, monitoring its performance in different situations of disease predominance in the South. The final results with the UPL program, including Evolution, provided an increase of 17 bags per hectare in the result end of soybean cultivation", reports Carlos Alberto Forcelini, doctor in phytopathology.
Evolution arrived on the Brazilian market in August. It is a fungicide with a formulation that combines three active ingredients (mancozeb, azoxystrobin and prothioconazole), which complement each other and are effective in defending crops against the growing health challenges of soybeans: Asian rust, anthracnose, leaf blight (cercospora) , target spot and powdery mildew.
"We noticed through the application of Evolution, the satisfactory control of the main diseases. There is a very good preservation of the soybean leaf area, a more pronounced green aspect in the plants. This, in general, reflects the quality of both the control and the performance of the plant after applying the treatment", highlights the researcher and former professor at the University of Passo Fundo (UPF).
Evolution is a complete fungicide, with multisite and systemic action in a single product, with a technology and concept created by UPL that offers simultaneous action of different active ingredients at different points of disease metabolism. This technology helps to considerably reduce the possibility of diseases creating resistance to fungicides. Furthermore, it is an important ally in the face of mutations that fungi may undergo.
"The overall result of the tests, in comparison with management programs from other companies, was very satisfactory. And we have complete security and confidence in the performance that this new product will bring to soybean crops in the next harvests. My suggestion to producers is that they use , try it, get to know Evolution, and check out these benefits", says Forcelini.
The fungicide manager at UPL Brasil, Marcelo Figueira, highlights that Evolution is the result of a long research and development process. "Several tests and field trials, such as those reported by Forcelini, have proven the effectiveness of this new solution. This reinforces UPL's commitment to helping farmers produce more and more sustainably. After all, fungi are the main enemies of the chain productive of soybeans: without adequate treatment, these enemies of productivity can cause losses of up to 80% of the oilseed harvest", he concludes.
