With a confirmed presence at Femagri 2024, which takes place between the 22nd and 24th of March, in Guaxupé, Minas Gerais, LS Tractor presents its new series of MT7 tractors, designed especially for coffee growing. The MT7 series enters the market to complete the manufacturer's portfolio, now offering a complete line for this segment that starts with the 40hp G40 model, the 50 and 65hp R series models, the 60hp U65 model and now the new models the MT7.80 and MT7.90 with 80 and 93 hp.

LS Tractor's marketing and product manager, Astor Kilpp, explains that the basis of this new project came from Brazilian engineering, accompanied by new product engineers from the headquarters in South Korea. “These tractors bring some specific improvements, indicated by Brazilian producers of coffee and the main characteristics of these tractors were customized for these customers”, says Kilpp. He adds that one of the demands presented was for a narrow tractor, with more power, with the capacity to pull a coffee harvester and also a harvester, with performance and economy already established in the LS Tractor models, from 40 to 65 hp.

The new series was designed to deliver more force (torque), which defined the choice of four (04) cylinder Perkins engines with 80 and 93 hp, MAR1/Tier3 technology, with low noise and lower vibration characteristics. “It’s a lot of power in a compact model”, says Kilpp, adding that they have 16% more engine torque compared to competitors, 43% more torque reserve and 19% more power at the PTO, according to comparative data from technical publications indicated by the manufacturer. “These characteristics define this project as models of greater strength and excellent consumption ratio”, he highlights.

The two MT7.80f and MT7.90f models are equipped with a modern LS Transmission design that offers 20 forward and 20 reverse speed options (20x20), and with the Synchro Shuttle reversal it offers great agility in maneuvering and super Creeper reducer, allows specific work with implements that require a speed below 1 km/hour when traveling.

The power take-off offers three speed options (540, 750 or 1000 rpm), with maximum power of 76 hp and 87 hp. Designed to meet the recent needs of working with the tractor's TDP, which is why the variety of implements available in this segment and the remote control is specified with 3 valves, 01 valve with flow adjustment from 2 to 50 liters/min, to meet the implements requiring variable flow hydraulic motors, these technical characteristics are bringing a new proposal for mechanization in crops in restricted areas and dense plantations”, he concludes.
