List of family farming products with bonuses in October is now available

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) released on Friday, October 8, the list of agricultural products with discount bonuses in October for financial agents operating the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (Pronaf). 

The list of products and states covered by the Price Guarantee Program for Family Farming (PGPAF) is valid for the period from October 10th to November 9th of this year, according to the Ordinance No. 37, from the Secretariat of Agricultural Policy. 

Products with discount bonuses in operations and rural credit installments are: açaí (fruit), banana, cultivated natural rubber, yam/yam, cultivated cocoa, cashew nuts, onion, jute/embellished mallow, orange, passion fruit, cassava and tomato. The states on this month's list are: Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Pará, Paraíba, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo and Sergipe.

The farmer receives the PGPAF bonus when his product is priced below the guarantee value offered by the program. In this way, the producer can use the amount as a discount on the payment or amortization of financing installments in the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf). Discounts for all crops are calculated monthly by the National Supply Company (Conab) and published by Mapa.
