After a season of low production in 2020/21, agents' initial expectations are for another limited harvest of oranges in 2021/22 in the state of São Paulo and the Triângulo Mineiro, given unfavorable weather conditions. According to Cepea researchers, this scenario tends to keep fruit prices firm in 2021.

Industrial demand, in turn, should also remain strong, considering that juice stocks should close, in June 2021, close to the strategic level, requiring the largest possible quantity of fruit to be crushed to maintain a sufficient volume to meet demand.
