Liconic, a pioneering startup in the development of ethanol-based hybrid systems for drones, begins a partnership with the ARPAC brand, an agricultural spraying startup, a national pioneer in this niche market, being a significant achievement for both companies and representing a technological advance that will bring benefits to the agricultural sector. According to Liconic CEO, Jovis Arruda, “Our goal is to technically integrate our LPU (Liconic Power Unit) product into ARPAC drones. In this way, we will be able to contribute positively to the partner startup increasing its scaling power even further, also counting on the sustainable scope”, explains the businessman.

Partnership in practice: the concept of “technical integration”

“Technical integration is when an aircraft manufacturer is interested in placing our product within their product, and, for this, we have to bring together engineering teams to collaborate in this integration of our product into the aircraft”, highlights the CEO of Liconic about the partnership with ARPAC. “This consists of adapting parts to their product, as well as modifying parts to ours, and, finally, bringing the two pieces of equipment together and concluding with integration tests. Normally, when we bring together two pieces of equipment that previously did not communicate with each other, several adjustments are necessary for them to work correctly together”, adds the businessman.

In this partnership, Liconic's main responsibilities consist of providing engineering support for the technical integration of the project, delivering functional prototypes and validating the functioning of all systems in real operation, with support from ARPAC; to then, in the future, provide the production, support and operation of the product that will be integrated (The LPU).

On the other hand, ARPAC is responsible for providing access to product information, as well as technical support, aiming at the successful development of the project to integrate a prototype into its drones. After the “technical integration” project, with all objectives completed, ARPAC must proceed with contracting the services of such equipment with Liconic.

Finally, this is an initiative that promises to positively impact the agricultural sector, as the LPU will make ARPAC drones even more practical, sustainable, innovative and technological.
