The “Lecture and Practice on the cultivation of zucchini and green beans” will take place at the “Luiz de Queiroz” School of Agriculture (Esalq/USP). The event is aimed at rural producers, sector professionals and agricultural science students. It will be held on April 27th, from 8am to 12:30pm, at the Heitor Montenegro Amphitheater, in the Department of Plant Production.
Organized by the Rural Producer's House, the activity aims to disseminate knowledge about the cultivation of zucchini and green beans, vegetables of great importance in the food and rural context, mainly for small family properties.
Italian zucchini is among the ten vegetables with the highest economic and production value in Brazil, mainly in the Center and South regions of the country. Green beans are a common legume on Brazilian tables and the best-known varieties are butter, long and flat. Small and medium-sized producers have a great choice in these crops due to the early cycle.
Registration is free and can be done until April 22nd by calling (19) 3429 4178, by email cprural@usp.br or at Casa do Produtor Rural, Av. Pádua Dias, 11, Bairro São Dimas, from 8am to 12pm and from 13pm to 17:30pm.
