"Many products that are currently used in other countries could be approved here", said lawyer Lídia Cristina Jorge dos Santos
The Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) starts selling biological products from Koppert Biological Systems in Brazil. The agreement was announced today (22/12/22).
LDC intends, by 2027, to have 8% of its sales volume coming from biological inputs. The company's input operation is related to its grain origin certification structure.
LDC will also carry out sales under the “green barter” model. This is a financing mechanism through which the debt will be paid in grains and fibers.
The commercialization of pesticides will begin in the states of Mato Grosso and Goiás.
“It is a fundamental initiative to strengthen our commitment to providing more complete and diversified solutions to our strategic partners, making it easier for them to have access to high technology with a view to increasing their productivity”, says Bruno Andrade (photo below), commercial director of Inputs of LDC in Brazil.
When contacted to answer questions, the Louis Dreyfus Company said it would not comment on the matter.
