17 cooperatives participate, totaling 40 professionals who work in technical departments in RS, SC and PR
The deadline for submitting technical-scientific works to the 32nd National Barley Research Meeting is April 2nd. The event takes place from April 16th to 18th, at the Embrapa Trigo auditorium, in Passo Fundo, RS. The promotion is by Embrapa, Agraria and Ambev, with the support of the Petrópolis and Soufflet groups.
The National Barley Research Meeting was created in 1981, being annual until 2009 and biennial since then. With the next one, there will be 32 editions. According to researcher Euclydes Minella, the event was created with the aim of bringing together the entire technical and scientific community associated with barley and malt agribusiness, including research, technical assistance, academia, industry and production, to discuss crop and research results. , plan joint work, as well as update and propose new technical indications for the cultivation of the species. Historically, the meeting has been organized on a rotating basis by the main companies that carry out research on barley in Brazil: Embrapa, Trigo, Cooperativa Agrária and Ambev.
Abstracts
The scientific community can submit works with research results related to barley or malt cultivation. The thematic areas for sending abstracts were divided into three: genetics and improvement; plant health; and cultural management and practices. The works approved by the evaluation committee must be included in the meeting proceedings, with the selection of results for oral presentation or in poster form.
The rules for submitting abstracts are available on the event website. The deadline for submission is April 2nd.
