Last days to participate in the Yara Challenge at HackatAgro

The registration period for the Yara Challenge at HackatAgro is approaching the final stretch. Those interested in participating in the marathon, which focuses on bioenergy, can register, free of charge, Site, until Wednesday, September 29th. Candidates must seek traceability solutions for the soybean path - from the field to the industry - to improve the eligibility of biodiesel in RenovaBio, generating value for all links in the chain.

On September 30th, at 18:30 pm, the hackathon's opening webinar will be broadcast on HackatAgro's YouTube, to detail the challenge and its next steps. The meeting will feature the participation of Cintia Neves, Business Development & Sustainability Manager at Yara; Michel Costa, Head Management at ExoHub; Kimberly Montagner, Innovation Consultant, and Donário Lopes de Almeida as moderator.

"One of the priorities of rural producers and the food industry is adapting to sustainability goals to face climate change, mainly related to the use of fossil fuels. Therefore, our intention is to encourage the creation of alternatives linked to bioenergy with the use of soy, expanding the biofuel matrix", explains Deise DallaNora, director of Food Solution Innovation at Yara Brasil. "We are looking for innovative projects in this hackathon so that the producer can meet the soybean eligibility criteria for the Renovabio program, and the most urgent thing is to trace its origin. We know about Brazil's agricultural potential and we will actively collaborate to produce and preserve it in an economy of low carbon", he adds.

The competitions aim to create an open environment for innovation with disruptive ideas and solutions that add value to the food production chain and develop participants and startups that will have the opportunity to put their ideas into practice, with the support and mentoring of experienced professionals. "Yara believes that knowledge makes us grow, and for this, collaboration and the exchange of information are fundamental. It is on this diversity of experiences and thoughts that the transformation and future of the sector are based", points out Deise DallaNora.

Individuals over 18 years of age and formed startups can participate. After registration, participants will be divided into groups of four to six members, when they will have access to mentoring for the production of projects, from October 1st to 3rd. In addition, collective sessions will be available at specific times in areas of knowledge such as Business, Marketing, Software Development, Technologies and Agribusiness. The projects must be delivered by October 3rd and, on the following day, the evaluations will take place, which will last until October 13th, the date on which the result with the winning proposals will be announced live. All stages of the competition will take place online, due to the pandemic.

One of the great attractions of the Yara Challenge is the prizes for the winners. In addition to the value of R﹩10 thousand, the team that comes in first place will also be invited to a mentoring program with the company's experts for three months.
