Corn planting in RS is coming to an end
Some farmers have already completed planting the main crop and plan to supplement the estimated area in the off-season
Next week should see rain and high volumes accumulated in much of Rio Grande do Sul. This is what the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 45/2023, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with the Emater/RS and Irga.
Between Friday (10/11) and Sunday (12/11), the presence of a low pressure area will maintain a large variation of clouds, with rain showers and thunderstorms, with a chance of isolated storms.
On Monday (13/11), the spread of a new cold front will cause widespread rain. On Tuesday (14/11) and Wednesday (15/11), hot and humid weather will continue to predominate, with periods of overcast skies and rain showers in most regions.
The predicted totals are high in much of the state. They should range between 80 and 120 mm in most areas of the Northern Half, and may exceed 150 mm in several municipalities, mainly in Missões, Alto Uruguai and Planalto.
In the Southern Half, expected values should range between 35 and 50 mm in most locations, with the exception of the Extreme South, where volumes could exceed 100 mm.
