This week, Lar began paying for the distribution of results, referring to the 2023 financial year. Even though it was a challenging year, the Cooperative exceeded R$21 billion in revenue, with the result of this result being shared with the associated family. In total there will be R$141,89 million in return to the almost 14 thousand members, an action that differentiates the cooperative system from private companies.
“The year 2023 was very difficult, we were worried about not having a good result and if we consider the complexity of the period, we did achieve a good balance, it was the best among all the cooperatives in the western region of Paraná, so we have to celebrate ”, stated Lar’s CEO, Irineo da Costa Rodrigues.
Associates met at the Producer Service Units, where they were welcomed by local leaders with breakfast and a presentation of the results. Lar's Executive Board, superintendents and division managers were also present at the units in the western region of Paraná, but the celebrations also extended to all units in Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul and Santa Catarina.
The date was also marked with the recognition of retired members, a tribute given to those who completed more than 20 years as a member of the Cooperative, regardless of age, or to men aged 65 and women aged 60, 20 of whom were members of the cooperative. . Upon retirement, the member can move the amount deposited in their Capital Account and use it as needed.
With 22 years of Lar, associate Gilberto João Brandalize, from Matelândia (PR), commented on the recognition. “It is an immense satisfaction to be able to participate in this moment that represents mutual trust between the Cooperative and the member, I am happy to have contributed to the 60 years of the Lar that makes us so proud”. In total, 177 jubilees received honors this year. The amounts relating to the distribution of surpluses are already available to members, where each one receives the amount proportional to the movement of their business with Lar.
Now attention turns to the celebrations of the Cooperative's 60th anniversary, with a program full of commitments throughout the year. “On March 19th, Lar turns 60 years old and in September our poultry farm reaches 25 years old, two very important dates that we want to celebrate alongside our associated family, employees and business partners.
There will be several events, which together we estimate will meet with an audience of close to 10 thousand people, where we will thank each one for their contribution”, concluded the CEO of Lar when talking about the agenda of commitments for 2024.
