According to the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), expected GDP growth in the agricultural sector should be 10,9% this year, based mainly on the forecast of good weather conditions for grain harvests. Motivated by this data, and also by the positive results in recent years, Kuhn do Brasil has already defined its priorities for 2023, including strengthening the Network Plan and opening a new Distribution Center in Palmas (TO) to serve Matopiba region. The French company, which will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2028, has been operating for 17 years with units in Brazil.

The move to 2023 began with an exclusive event for the brand's main resellers in the country. The 1st Kuhn Reseller Convention, with the theme “Together getting stronger”, received around 200 participants at the end of 2022 to present the new products, marketing strategies and the new campaign, which focuses on the concept “Strength to feed the world”, an idea that strengthens the importance of human relationships and Kuhn machines for the final product (food) to reach Brazilians’ tables. The culmination of the convention was with the awarding of the best-ranked resellers in the evaluation criteria of the Kuhn network development plan, called REDE PRIME.

Currently, the Network Plan is one of the company's main strategies in Brazil, a market that is important for the multinational, as the country's agribusiness has the largest global clients in the sector. In 2023, the objective is to reach 100 points of sale across the country. Among the measures, the company focuses on advancing the Prime Network, considered to be resellers of excellence in services, sales and spare parts, which are duly standardized according to the Kuhn brand.

Projections for 2023

With the expectation of an increase in agricultural GDP, Kuhn is working on expanding its distribution centers. Last year, the company announced the opening of the next center in Matopiba, an important region for national agriculture, especially in the production of soybeans, corn and cotton.

In addition to intensifying its presence in Matopiba and also in the regions in which it already operates, such as the Center-West, where there is a distribution center in Rondonópolis (MT), the company intends to explore the international recognition of the brand that is over 190 years old and which is based on the principles of trust and quality relationships with the customer. José Carlos Bassetti (in the photo below), Marketing Manager at Kuhn, explains that the objective is to qualify resellers to better serve each region.

“The Network Plan is a pioneering idea by Kuhn in the country and has already been used as a model for other international units thanks to the results we have achieved. Our purpose is for the customer to find at resale not only the machine they are looking for, but also assistance, parts and all the after-sales service they need so they never have to stop production”, he says.

Sustainability in the field, which has been a national trend, is another concern for Kuhn. In 2022, the company launched five new machines with greater production capacity and less energy consumption. “Agribusiness is expected to grow a lot in Brazil this year, especially soybeans and corn. Our portfolio has already been prepared to meet this demand, including sustainability: the producer seeks more efficiency with less expense and pollution. This trend is here to stay and everyone needs to adapt with the right technologies”, he highlights.
