Climatic conditions favor the harvest of summer crops in RS
Agrometeorological bulletin released by the Department of Agriculture in partnership with Emater and Irga points to dry and cold weather in most of the state next week
BioTSI Koppert, composed of Trianum DS (Trichoderma harzianum, Strain T22) and Veraneio (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Strain UMAF6614 - University of Malaga), is a biological industrial seed treatment (TSI) with a broad spectrum of action, unprecedented in the country, protecting crops against attack by fungi and root nematodes.
The program was used in more than 400 demonstration fields in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 harvests, presenting a frequency of positive results in 85% of the areas, with a lower incidence and severity of diseases in the roots, in addition to an increase in the root cell volume, aerial part and productivity. “With the consolidated results, we have already sold approximately R$8 million of this treatment in the 2020/21 season”, explains Koppert's Central-South sales manager, Rodrigo Rodrigues.
According to Koppert's agronomic development coordinator, Marcelino Borges de Brito, with BioTSI treatments, producers stopped losing plants due to diseases caused by soil pathogens. “In addition to having a lower incidence and severity of diseases caused by fungi and root nematodes, the plants that benefited from the management showed more vigor and health due to the increase in root volume. This harvest, we had a 30% increase in the root system.”
According to the soybean farmer from Paranavaí (PR), André Kagueyama Takano, who used BioTSI on his property, the results were very satisfactory. “Soybeans are growing very well, with no diseases that harm their development. With these results, I intend to increase the area treated in the next harvest.”
