With the aim of offering a complete experience to Brazilian rural producers, Koppert Biological Systems has just acquired Geocom, based in Lençóis Paulista (SP). Working in the area of agricultural technology since 2013, the company is a pioneer in image geoprocessing and in the development of exclusive technology for applying biological agents via drones in Brazil.

Since its arrival in the country in 2011, this is the sixth acquisition made by Koppert. “Our goal is to expand the field of activity, to be able to offer the best to our customers and partners. Now, in addition to biological inputs, we will also have monitoring and application technology”, highlights the commercial director of Koppert do Brasil, Gustavo Herrmann.

For the industrial director of Koppert do Brasil, Danilo Pedrazzoli, this is a strategic decision. “We realized the need to complement the quality and efficiency of our products with a more specialized application, to guarantee the maximum performance of biodefensive products in the field. We already had a partnership with Geocom and, knowing the quality of their equipment and services, we opted for the acquisition.”

The partners at Geocom, a company that belonged to the Eba Group, highlighted the importance of this new business configuration. According to Antonio Donizeti de Oliveira, the synergy between Geocom and Koppert already existed before the sale was possible, in a partnership with common objectives, customers and market. “I leave my full confidence that the legacy continues, to perpetuate purposes and businesses, further expanding service coverage, in this segment that highlights the present and future of global agriculture”, he considered.

According to Gláucio Carrit Antiga, the acquisition of Geocom by Koppert represents not only a milestone in the company's history, but also a source of great pride. “Throughout its history, Geocom has established itself in the market as a leader in its segment, in the era of digital agriculture, and now it has everything it needs to maintain that level, led by Koppert.”
