Jacto, a company based in Pompéia/SP, launches the Jacto DJB-20s battery-powered backpack sprayer and doser, the first in the world with the possibility of connecting via Bluetooth and being controlled with a cell phone. With this launch, the company reinforces its position in the knapsack sprayer market and begins a new era in the segment.

Differences and characteristics of the DJB-20s Jet

“Using the cell phone, the operator can configure the entire journey, standardizing the dosages, pressure and flow of the product to be applied, in addition to selecting the type of application considering the spacing between the plants. At the end of the work, a report is generated with information about the operation, similar to the telemetry services that are offered in large machines”, explains Paulo Cesar Curti, product manager at Jacto, portable products unit.

The backpack equipment can communicate with a cell phone through an application. Throughout the operation, the equipment records information on the number of doses applied and the total volume applied, for example. Furthermore, it makes it possible to generate an operational map of the application carried out when connected to a cell phone with GPS location enabled. All this information can be saved and shared.

“Using the squirt-shaped dosing function, it is possible to apply the product directly to the target with a controlled dose. Furthermore, through calibration carried out with the help of the application on your cell phone, it is possible to spray the desired dose on the target with precision of one decimal place for greater uniformity in droplet coverage”, explains Iago Reis, product specialist at Jacto, a portable products.

This calibration configured by cell phone can be carried out for more than one machine, streamlining and standardizing the work process.

In timed dosing mode, the Jacto DJB-20s has a system that applies doses of 5 to 300 ml in 5 time intervals - depending on the spacing between plants and the time the operator needs to move between them, he chooses the best interval.

Just leave the trigger activated and the equipment shoots the chosen dose automatically. As for the dosing function for localized application, the Jacto DJB-20s has an electronic trigger connected directly to the hydraulic pump which, only when activated, triggers the desired dose. This function is generally used for heterogeneous spacing, such as in banana farming applications, where shoot tillering occurs by varying the distance between plants.

In addition to the localized application of doses to bananas, this equipment is also especially used in crops such as coffee, vegetables, tobacco, pineapple, coconuts and herbicides in pastures, for example, which have in common the need to apply and reach specific targets with pesticides such as such as biological products and specific fertilizers.

In spray mode, in addition to the equipment having four different spray nozzles, it is also possible to adjust the spray to 5 levels of constant pressure, covering an area uniformly and with less drift. It also has a step marker, a system that helps control the operator's walking speed so that the uniformity of the application is guaranteed. A sound beep dictates the pace of the steps, which can be adjusted from 1 to 4 km/h.

The Jacto DJB-20s is powered by a long-life Lithium-ion battery. Lightweight and detachable, it allows quick charging by just bringing the battery and charger close to the socket. The battery autonomy allows for extensive working hours, such as applying more than 10.000 doses of 50 ml or spraying more than 200 liters. With more comfort and safety, the operator stops carrying out the pumping effort and focuses on locating the targets, thus having a more precise application.

Developed for professional use, the Jacto DJB-20s meets the expectations of rural producers who seek technology and precision in application. It shows on its control panel, made of LCD, the name of the equipment, battery charge indicator, working pressure and desired dose, for example. Through the panel, it is possible to control the equipment without using a cell phone. In the interface with the application, the hours worked since the equipment was purchased are recorded, facilitating maintenance and warranty scheduling, which is valid for 3 years.
