More fertilizers for more wheat?
Currently, only 48% of the applied fertilizer is absorbed by plants; the remainder is leached into the soil or emitted into the atmosphere
FMC Corporation today announced the election of John M. Raines to its board of directors. The assumption of the role takes effect immediately. He will also serve on the company's audit and sustainability committees.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Raines has worked in major agricultural and food businesses in all four regions of the world. He was most recently president of Telus Corporation's digital agriculture and consumer goods division (2021 to 2024). Previously, Raines held leadership positions at The Climate Corporation and Monsanto Company. He is currently President of Paris Bancshares, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of TPNB Bank and Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners.
