Field research collects data from the sugarcane harvest in Mato Grosso
Survey includes research on full mills (which only crush corn) and flex mills (corn and sugarcane), in addition to those exclusively producing sugar cane
John Deere combined its global expertise with cotton grower's key needs to design the CP770 cotton picker. The novelty brings together comfort, technology and sustainability, with a focus on productivity and harvesting efficiency.
The machine offers increased harvesting speed, denser and larger bales, as well as a new cabin that provides more technology and ergonomics. Among the new features are a 5% increase in speed, which corresponds to 1,8 hectares more in 10 hours of work, and a 20% fuel efficiency.
Technological solutions, such as the one proposed in CP770, are increasingly important for producers to obtain maximum productivity from their crops, with cost reduction and sustainability. "Brazilian agriculture is an undeniable force and, every year, it remains a fundamental pillar for the country's GDP. The CP770 seeks to meet the needs that a high-performance crop has to produce one of the best cottons in the world", points out Marcelo Lopes, Sales Director at John Deere Brazil.
The CP770 has an advanced technology package and crop data, which are sent automatically through the JDLink telemetry solution. And, in the Operations Center, the producer can monitor information in real time, when there is internet access. The action is part of John Deere's effort to unlock the technological potential of the countryside, through rural connectivity and precision agriculture.
The equipment also has cotton tracking technology, which supports product origin certification initiatives and greater quality control in the production chain. The bale forming chamber has also been improved. With modules 2% larger and 5% denser, the portion concentrates more cotton within the same packaging, which guarantees cost reduction. The harvester cabin has fully integrated technology and is more ergonomic, 30% larger than previous models. The integrated receiver is part of this new technology package, as well as the Gen4 4600 monitor.
"We have a favorable market for the 2021/22 harvest. We will deliver equipment that meets the needs of high-performance producers, offering all the means for our client to harvest cotton in an effective, technological and sustainable way, preserving the quality of the product until the end consumer", reinforces Lopes.
