John Deere announces the acquisition of real estate assets in Brazil

John Deere acquired the condominium that houses its regional office in Indaiatuba (SP), the parts distribution center for South America (SA-PDC) and an adjacent land for future expansion. At the same time, it purchased two plots of land in the industrial district of Montenegro (RS). The information was released to the press today.

• Parts distribution center (Campinas, SP): the purchase of SA-PDC, previously operating in a rented space since 2008, includes an area of ​​125,5 thousand m² with facilities of 76,2 thousand m² and a plot of 198,3 thousand m² for expansion. According to the company, the acquisition aims to increase storage capacity.

• Regional office (Indaiatuba, SP): Transferred from Porto Alegre (RS) to Indaiatuba (SP) in 2012, the regional office is now located in a condominium recently acquired by the company.

• Investments in the industrial district of Montenegro (RS): The acquisition of two plots of land adjacent to the factory is part of an initial investment of R$3,2 million, part of a R$230 million plan until 2026 for the expansion of production lines and infrastructure.

Furthermore, the company announced the construction of the Brazilian Technology Development Center in Indaiatuba (SP), scheduled to open at the end of 2024. Representing an investment of around R$180 million, it will be the first global center focused on development and tests for tropical agriculture.

Over the years, John Deere strengthened its position in the Brazilian market through the acquisition of companies such as Auteq Telemática, PLA, Unimil and Ciber.
