John Deere announces new factory for PLA sprayer line

New unit will be built in Canoas (RS) by 2025

John Deere announced the construction of a new PLA factory in Canoas (RS). The objective is to expand the PLA by John Deere line, acquired in 2018, in the national and international markets and develop more technological products linked to the John Deere ecosystem. The new unit will have 12 thousand m² of covered area in a total area of ​​39 thousand m².

The investment will include improvements to the Smart Connected Factory program, responsible for developing intelligent tools and processes related to industry 4.0, which encompasses a broad system of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and the internet of things.

According to a company statement, the investment will enable the development of new products, services and solutions aimed at small and medium-sized producers.
