Jacto opens its manufacturing plant in Argentina this Friday, February 16th. Three models of tractor-driven sprayers from the Arbus line and one model of self-propelled sprayer from the UNIPORT line will be produced on site.
The company's new industrial factory has 3600 m² and will be located in the city of Arrecifes, province of Buenos Aires, 180 km from the Federal Capital.
Exclusively for the local market, the company will produce the UNIPORT 3000, a self-propelled sprayer that has a 3000 liter reservoir and 30 meter spray bars.
"It is equipment with specifications suitable for Argentine producers and contractors, who work large areas and require greater work capacity. The market demands precision technology, robust equipment and low maintenance, which provide quality and safety for the applications, for the operator and also for the environment, These are Jacto's characteristics and we fully trust that they are present in this new product", says Marcelo Blanco, commercial manager for Argentina.
On the other hand, he adds that "the choice to also manufacture the Arbus family models is justified, because Argentina has large areas of cultivation for exporting apples, pears, oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapes, among others, which support important regional economies where Jacto has always been and is a leader".
“Argentina is one of our main markets outside Brazil. It is a country with a favorable climate and fertile land, whose producers are receptive to new technologies. Furthermore, Jacto has already had a structure in the country for 26 years, which receives the machines produced here and which is now being expanded to become a manufacturing unit”, explains Fernando Gonçalves Neto, President of Jacto.
Another aspect that reinforces equipment manufacturing in Argentina is that there is an opportune scenario in relation to government initiatives to increase production in the country.
"These measures by the new government have been positive in improving the profitability and future projection of the agricultural producer, as is the case of the elimination and/or reduction of retentions in the export prices of different grains, the significant improvement in the exchange rate and other factors that give stability to producers, today they are encouraged to produce and will need efficient equipment to be competitive", explains Carlos Palmieri, General Manager of Jacto Argentina.
Commemorations – The inauguration of the industrial plant in Argentina will be a milestone for Jacto's 70th anniversary, celebrated in 2018. It is also a very symbolic moment, since historically, in 1963, Jacto made its first export: a batch of knapsack sprayers, exactly to Argentina. The company currently exports to more than 100 countries, with a presence on five continents.
