Sugarcane wilting syndrome worries sugarcane farmers
IAC scientists seek alternatives for sugarcane farmers while working on genetic improvement of sugarcane
Jacto inaugurated today (12/12), in Paulópolis, district of Pompeia (SP), another large undertaking: a new factory that arrives to serve the domestic and foreign markets with product lines for spraying, fertilizing, planting, harvesting of sugarcane, as well as precision agriculture, digital agriculture and autonomous vehicles.
With 96 thousand m2 of built area, the Paulópolis plant follows the concepts of industry 4.0 with highly modern and sustainable technologies and installations. The factory has an automated painting system, material handling carried out by autonomous vehicles (AGVs), among other cutting-edge technologies fully integrated into the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) system, with online monitoring and coordination of the entire production process.
For the online and integrated production operation of the factory, Jacto invested in the construction of a private 5G wireless network, approved by Anatel. Another highlight of the new plant are the sustainability concepts that reiterate the Company's responsibility towards the environment.
Around 12 thousand solar panels were installed to generate energy and up to 90% of the water used in the factory's processes can be reused. Employee well-being was also considered. The new factory offers a large, air-conditioned living space, with a snack bar, kitchen and space for games.
The place where the factory was built already housed Jacto's Research and Development center. Now, it will also house the company's training area, which previously occupied part of the land of the Shunji Nishimura Technology Foundation, also in Pompeii.
“We are opening a new training center with more resources and greater qualification capacity, both for our master dealer network and for our internal team that works to support customers. With this, we reaffirm our purpose of seeking to be recognized as the agricultural machinery company with the best after-sales on the market”, comments Fernando Gonçalves, president of Jacto.
In addition to Brazil, Jacto has factories in Argentina and Thailand. The main unit, in Pompeii, remains active.
