Ban on the active ingredient paraquat in agrochemical products in Brazil
The production, import, marketing and use of technical products formulated based on the active ingredient paraquat would be prohibited.
The differentiated technologies present in Jacto's line of broadcast fertilizers were evaluated by a team of experts from Fundação MT (Foundation to Support Agricultural Research of Mato Grosso) and receive the "Tested" Seal with the Institution's approval.
A national reference in scientific research in agribusiness, the MT Foundation launched a new seal with the aim of giving credibility to brands that invest in research, in addition to helping producers and agribusiness professionals to learn about the results achieved by these products.
Field tests were carried out with the Uniport 5030 NPK self-propelled fertilizer machine and Jacto is the first machinery company to receive the seal. The tested equipment shares technological differentials developed by Jacto with the Tellus 10.000 NPK tractor that enable numerous benefits in this operation, including an application with high uniformity throughout the application ranges.
"It is a very important assessment due to the pioneering spirit of the machinery sector in inaugurating the seal in this new category of tests and due to the weight and credibility of the MT Foundation's technical staff. The way they conduct the tests, with very specific analysis protocols and offering reports on the performance observed in the machines, reinforce the good results highlighted by our technologies. It is a test that shows the behavior of the machine and how it delivers the benefits it proposes. That is why we are very pleased to provide equipment that brings greater ease and safety for the farmer to increase his profitability in a sustainable way" explains Gustavo Micheli, fertilization manager at Jacto.
The test followed the standard protocol for evaluating fertilizer distributors with centrifugal discs and evaluated the equipment in terms of operational quality by applying 4 types of fertilizers and 1 corrective, in 3 application band widths at two different application rates and its accuracy in terms of calibrated and applied doses.
The fertilizers Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), Simple Superphosphate (SFS), Urea and Potassium Chloride (KCl) were applied.
Among the results presented by the Uniport 5030 NPK fertilizer machine, which were in all aspects between ideal and acceptable levels for good operation, the good performance when making wide application ranges, with a low value of coefficient of variation (CV) and excellent uniformity.
"This result indicates a quality application in large swaths with excellent uniformity, in addition to the fertilizer machine being able to work in the same track as the sprayer, avoiding re-entry into the field, reduced crushing, increased productivity and a higher operational performance, with lower fuel consumption" , reinforces Micheli.
A second point that deserves to be highlighted is that even with medium or low quality products, the equipment can produce good application ranges. This was the case with one of the fertilizers tested that had very small dust and grains in its composition.
Evaluating the performance of the products, the application of urea, which is known to be more complex due to the low density of the grains and the need to have good uniformity as it is applied in coverage, the fertilizer machine performed very well. For calibrations carried out with this product, it would be possible to reach ranges of 40 to 45m (depending on the dose) with acceptable CV values, and increase operational performance without losing distribution quality.
Another important factor in the urea test was the ease of adjusting the machine to apply in large swaths.
"The setup and configuration of the equipment was done in less time and demonstrates that the use of technologies present in the fertilizer machine really contributes to the ease of adjusting the application range. The time factor and the quantity of products applied in this adjustment have a very large impact in this operation, which is why this result deserves to be highlighted", he explains.
The versatility of the fertilizer machine and its performance also for the application of powdered products was tested with the application of limestone, presenting a result between ideal and acceptable throughout the application ranges.
The performance results of the Uniport 5030 NPK and more information about the MT Foundation's "Tested" Seal will be expanded in a live with representatives of the two institutions, on September 24th, at 19 pm. The content will be broadcast on Jacto's YouTube and Facebook.
Participating in the discussion for Jacto are Daniel Petreli (Application Technology Specialist) and Gustavo Micheli (Fertilization Manager) and researchers Fábio Ono and Marcus Vinicius Corradi Leal for Fundação MT.
The Uniport 5030 NPK is a self-propelled fertilizer machine with a 5.000 kg capacity reservoir and an application range of up to 50 meters for granulated fertilizers and 12 meters for powdered products. It has a 243 hp engine, independent and intelligent 4X4 transmission, independent air suspension and 1,5 m clearance. The diesel engine has automatic speed control and is integrated with the transmission, enabling a reduction in fuel consumption. It has the Unitrack directional, which allows faster maneuvers and provides greater operational performance, reducing crushing during maneuvers.
The Tellus 10.000 NPK is a traction fertilizer machine with a 10.000 kg capacity reservoir. It also distributes fertilizers in an application range of up to 50 meters, in addition to the application of powdered products. It has a hydraulically driven transmission. Requires a tractor with a minimum power of 110 hp and works at speeds of 4 to 18 km/h.
"Both have the same reservoir and the same capacity for granulated fertilizers, which is 5.000 kg. For powdered products, the Tellus 10.000 NPK allows the reservoir to be filled to its maximum volume, reaching a capacity of 10.000 kg", explains Micheli
New fertilization technologies must provide good quality distribution and dosage of fertilizers in the soil to obtain greater uniformity of application and product savings, as fertilizers have a large contribution to production costs on an agricultural property.
One of these new technologies is the 12-section Automatic Control, which segments the application range into up to 12 parts, reduces fertilizer costs by up to 15% and minimizes overlaps in borders, representing savings for the farmer and greater environmental protection.
In addition to the 12-section Automatic Control, the set of technologies present in the two fertilizer machines allows precision fertilization, with control of the dosage to be applied and distribution, which can be done through the PrecisionWay System.
It is a technology to control the dosage, the point of fall of the fertilizer on the discs and the shape of the blades, distributing the inputs in the right dose, with quality and uniformity throughout the entire application range.
Other exclusive technologies present in both devices are SmartSet and Border Control. SmartSet is software developed to help adjust the application range of the Uniport 5030 NPK and Tellus 10.000 NPK automotive vehicles. Through a website, in four steps, it is possible to obtain the necessary regulation data for a variety of manufacturers and types of fertilizers.
Border Control is a system that allows reducing application errors in border operations, avoiding the application of fertilizers in unwanted areas, such as carriers and reserve areas.
Faster maneuvers and reduced crushing
The Uniport 5030 NPK self-propelled fertilizer machine gains even more competitiveness with the Unitrack® rear directional system, which allows faster and more precise maneuvers with a smaller turning radius, providing greater operational performance and reducing crushing during maneuvering by up to 40%, also contributing to a higher quality fertilizer.
The new seal awarded by the MT Foundation aims to help producers and agribusiness professionals learn about the results achieved by these products in tests carried out by the institution.
The new seal has a personalized QR Code for each product and can be applied to packaging and promotional materials. With a smartphone it will also be possible to scan the seal and access the report of studies carried out by Fundação MT with that specific product. The QR Code can be read free of charge via the MT Foundation App.
The seal with the inscription "Tested" from Fundação MT is exclusive to agricultural inputs and agricultural equipment that had their results in the field evaluated by researchers from the institution in studies that follow strict scientific criteria.
In addition to offering their customers a reliable source of information about the product, companies will also have access to relevant statistics and data on the number of people who viewed the seal, location and other strategic information.
