Even though agriculture is on the rise, many agricultural machinery companies suffered from a shortage of components for the production of equipment, negatively impacting the quantity of products sold. Jacto, with the support of its suppliers and well-structured production planning, managed to meet the expected sales target and additional demand, reinforcing its global leadership in the sale of Backpack Sprayers.
Jacto's history began in 1948, with the creation of the first national dusting machine. Today the company has a wide line of high-tech products and services and offers solutions for spraying, fertilizing, planting, coffee harvesting and sugarcane harvesting, as well as products and systems for precision agriculture.
Jacto's portable division officially started in 2012, and since then has worked to deliver innovative solutions from small to large farmers. With a portfolio that includes manual, battery and combustion sprayers and dosers, from 2019 it also entered the segment for plant management, granule distribution and backpack sprayers for urban use. The equipment that is on the rise is battery-powered, bringing more technology and savings, helping producers with application precision and comfort during operation.
Jacto's portable division is headed by Carlos Haushahn, who since 2012 has been structuring the company to grow in portfolio, technology and enter new segments.
“Working hard as a way to prosper is one of our values, which represents the moment we are living in so well. We would not have reached this number if it were not for the participation and commitment of all our employees”, comments the CEO.
Since 2012, Jacto's portable division has seen a 68% growth in sales of backpack equipment, and from 2020 to 2021, the jump was 20%. The division underwent a strategic restructuring, seeking to better understand and meet the needs of customers in the portable products segment.
With exports to more than 110 countries, since 2012 there has been a 55% increase in sales abroad, representing the importance of the Jacto brand in the global market, and how much it directly impacts the quantity of equipment sold around the world.
“For 2022, Jacto will launch new equipment in the granule distributor and plant management segment, bringing solutions that will help in everyday life in the field”, comments Carlos Haushahn.
Stay tuned for the new features that Jacto will bring to its line of portable equipment, to increasingly help farmers’ routines.
