ISTA and AOSA participate in the panel at the Brazilian Seed Congress

The International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) and the Association of Official Seed Analyst (AOSA) participate in Panel 3, at the XXI Brazilian Seed Congress (CBSementes), which takes place from September 12th to 15th, in Curitiba.

This panel opens the schedule for September 13th. Participating are the general secretary of ISTA, Andrea Wais, and professor Sabry Elias, from Oregon State University (USA), member of AOSA.

The two will give lectures in which they highlight the challenges of the two associations in the current global context, which is still under the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Affiliated to ISTA are 150 laboratories in 83 countries around the world. The association's general secretary, Andrea Wais highlights that the association's strategy was revised for the period from 2022 to 2025, with the choice of the first president from Asia, Dr. Keshavulu Kunusoth, from India.

“The following steps will help ISTA grow further and maintain its important position in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #2 of Zero Hunger,” says Wais.
