Technology in the field is a prominent topic this week, with the 2020 edition of Showtec, the largest agribusiness fair in Mato Grosso do Sul, held in Maracaju (MS). Until Friday (24), visitors to the fair will be able to discover the latest innovations in the sector and participate in the technical lectures that make up the event's rich program.
One of the hot topics at Showtec is irrigation. At a time of rapid growth in the use of technologies that enable increased profitability in crops, irrigation appears both as a solution to guarantee the correct and efficient supply of water in the field, and as a unique tool to maintain productivity at levels excellent.
In this context, Valley is present at Showtec represented by the region's reseller, Copasul (Cooperativa Agrícola Sul Matogrossense). The cooperative, which had already participated in previous editions of the fair, offers visitors the opportunity to get to know Valley's solutions up close, thanks to the simulated pivot mounted at the stand, complete with an Icon10 panel.
The company's stand at the site is attended by Valley's regional commercial supervisor, Walter Sperling, and Copasul's project analyst, Marcelo Brandão.
“Showtec is a permanent presence on our events calendar, taking into account the importance that the fair has on the Mato Grosso do Sul calendar. We were the first irrigation company to be part of the event's exhibitors, and we are keen to demonstrate how Valley became the pioneer of pivot irrigation”, comments Marcelo.
According to the analyst, the Maracaju region has seen an increase in the number of producers interested in investing in the central pivot. “Not only that, but more and more customers are looking for us to expand their irrigation systems. This shows how the pivot is contributing to the development of irrigated agriculture in the region”, he assesses.
Still at Showtec, Copasul is presenting to visitors the Construindo Solos project, which provides producers with a study of the soil profile to achieve high productivity.
With the proposal to unite agribusiness technologies and information in one place, Showtec has grown remarkably over the years, becoming a reference for the sector in the Central-West region.
The event program is designed for the reality of rural producers, with the presence of more than 120 exhibitors. In total, more than 16 thousand visitors are expected at this year's edition, who will come to the venue to learn about new technologies and participate in the fair's various lectures, which cover everything from artificial intelligence in agribusiness, to the presence of women in the field, passing through the results of new experiments and debates on the current national agricultural market.
