Ipiranga Museum offers training course in international negotiations with USP certificate

The course will be offered in three modules - beginner, intermediate and advanced - and has big names in the field on the teaching staff; classes will be in the digital environment, and registrations are open

Between March 22nd and 26th, the Ipiranga Museum, belonging to the University of São Paulo, holds the Training Course in International Negotiations, which takes place in the digital environment upon registration - until March 16th. Open to the general community, focusing on professionals from the private and government sectors working in the international area, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students, the course is coordinated by Prof. Amâncio Jorge de Oliveira, deputy director of the Museum, associate professor and professor at the Institute of International Relations (IRI-USP) and scientific coordinator of the Center for the Study of International Negotiations (Caeni-IRI).

The course will be offered in three modules, throughout the week, with a daily duration of 8 hours. The beginner module, which takes place on March 22nd and 23rd, covers aspects such as the main negotiation techniques, with simulations, the impact of culture on international negotiations and the PON - Harvard Negotiation Model. In the intermediary, on 03/24, concepts such as calculation of Expected Value, risk and risk propensity in negotiations, decision models in situations of uncertainty and procedures for sharing and resolving conflicts, as well as applied exercises, are on the agenda. And on March 02th and 25th, at the advanced level, mediation and conflict resolution techniques in institutions, theory of coalitions and multilateral negotiations, with simulations, and decision models in situations of uncertainty will be discussed.
