This Friday (23), the National Supply Company (Conab) highlights its experience in support actions for small farmers during the International Family Farming Symposium, held at the Cabo Branco Science Station, in João Pessoa, Paraíba.
During the event, the superintendent of Support for Family Agriculture at Conab, Kelma Cruz, will participate in a debate to talk about the institutional markets currently operated, such as the National School Meal Program (PNAE) and the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) . The table will focus on discussing the mechanisms of action and forms of participation in these programs. Conab's regional superintendent in Paraíba, Kelly Ramalho Freire, will also participate in the discussions, bringing the regional performance of the programs in the state.
The International Family Farming Symposium is held by the Special Secretariat for Family Farming and Agrarian Development (Sead) in partnership with the Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB/Funetec). The opening took place yesterday and the meeting continues until Saturday (24). Throughout this period, several round tables and lectures will be held on the importance of family farming for the Brazilian rural population.
