As part of the investments established in strategic planning until 2025, Integrada announces another advance in serving its members. Another industrial seed treatment center was opened at the Basic Seed Unit, located in the Londrina Complex, expanding the capacity to supply high-quality inputs.
In partnership with Syngenta Seedcare, Momesso's new machine has the capacity to process 20 tons per hour, with a fully automated operation for dosing seeds and products. The equipment allows the application of fungicides, herbicides, rooting agents and biological products, enhancing the quality attributes of the seed.
The launch was attended by Integrada's CEO, Jorge Hashimoto, who spoke about the 15 years of the partnership, recalling the installation of Integrada's first Industrial Seed Treatment Center, in 2007, at UBS in Santa Cecília do Pavão.
“The production of high-quality seed is Integrada’s priority. Our 12 thousand members need to have access to ready-made inputs to put on the land and harvest a good harvest every year. And the partnership with Syngenta only reinforces our path towards excellence. Congratulations to everyone on this achievement”, concluded Hashimoto.
The southern manager of Seedcare Syngenta, Felipe Fett, reinforced the importance of being alongside Integrada to offer certified seeds. “Our satisfaction is knowing that the cooperative member has the security of acquiring a high quality seed and that our partnership is strengthened with the results in the field”, celebrated Fett.
The Seed Treatment Center at UBS Londrina is the third installed in Integrada's units, through a partnership with Seedcare Syngenta. The first machine, also with the capacity to process 20 tons/hour, was installed in 2007, at the Santa Cecília do Pavão UBS, which is part of the Assaí Regional Region.
In 2014, the CTS was installed at the Mauá da Serra unit, which processes 10 tons/hour of soybean and wheat seeds.
Later this year, the Mauá da Serra Regional will inaugurate the unit's second piece of equipment, the result of another important partnership, with capacity to process 30 tons of grain per hour, increasing the region's processing speed by three times. Operations are expected to begin in the coming months, with the treatment of wheat seeds for the 2023 winter harvest.
With these expansions, Integrada will increase its total capacity in the three UBS’s to 100 tons/hour, thus being able to meet the demand of its members more quickly.
“Our members have increasingly sought out high-yielding seeds produced by Integrada. And this investment in an industrial treatment structure is fundamental, both to guarantee demand and to make field processes more agile”, explains Romildo Birelo, inputs manager at Integrada.
The new CTS at the Londrina Complex received the Quality Certification Seal from Seedcare Syngenta, which proves excellence in seed treatment. “Our certification provides producers with greater confidence. They know that they are purchasing the best products on the market to boost crop productivity”, commented the commercial coordinator of Seedcare Syngenta, Humberto Rosada.
Among the criteria analyzed for Seedcare Certification are the evaluation of product dosage, which needs to be within the correct range; maintaining high seed germination; maintenance and adjustment of equipment appropriately; the qualification of employees and safety precautions - use of PPE for operations; environmental protection and compliance with legislation, having permits, licenses and standards updated.
During the inauguration, a tribute was paid to Integrada's Inputs Coordinator, Marcio Zanatta, in recognition of the innovative work developed in seed treatment.
Zanatta led research, for three years, in search of a visual standardization of the Safra Super seed, a special and exclusive input from Integrada, with a high rate of germination and vigor, and superior development with a high nutrient content. The seed received a golden color.
Polymers were tested to cover the seeds in the correct dose to fix the dust and that did not remove the fluidity, did not interfere with germination and vigor and that prevented the release of dust.
“As we have different colors for each product applied during the seed treatment, we chose to use the black polymer, neutralizing the color, and finally apply the golden color, a differentiator in the market.”, explains Zanatta.
The tribute highlighted the preserved attributes of Safra Super and the professional's contribution to the visual innovation of the seed. “The work developed by Marcio Zanatta is of great importance for the standardization and guarantee of seed quality on the market. And Seedcare recognizes the research efforts and supports the excellent results”, highlighted Humberto Rosada.
For the 2023 summer harvest, 100 bags of special Safra Super soybean seed, Integrada's golden treasure, have already been made available to members.
